Alehtse Hernandez Joins Noticiero Telemundo Utah as Multimedia Journalist

SALT LAKE CITY – Feb. 26, 2026 – Telemundo Utah / KULX, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, announced Alehtse Hernández has been named multimedia journalist for Noticiero Telemundo Utah. She will make her debut March 2.

Most recently, Hernández served as a multimedia journalist and anchor at Univision 32 / KUTH in Utah, where she produced community-focused stories that highlighted issues important to local viewers.

“Alehtse’s dedication to impactful storytelling and her strong connection to the communities we serve make her a strong addition to our newsroom,” said Amy Alvarez, News Director for Telemundo Utah. “Her experience covering stories that matter most to Utah’s Hispanic families aligns with our commitment to deliver trusted news that informs and empowers our viewers.”

Before beginning her career in broadcast journalism, Hernández earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from Brigham Young University–Idaho, where she also worked as a news editor and reporter for the university’s newspaper, Scroll.

Noticiero Telemundo Utah airs on KULX Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., and streams a digital-only newscast at 4 p.m. on the station’s digital platforms.
