Veteran Journalist Joins KXTX from ‘Noticiero Telemundo Arizona’ March 16
FT. WORTH, Texas – Mar. 12, 2026 – Telemundo 39 / KXTX, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group today announced veteran journalist Ana Mafud has been named co-anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 39 weekdays at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., beginning March 16.
Mafud joins Telemundo 39 from Telemundo Phoenix / KTAZ and Telemundo Tucson / KHRR, where since January 2023 she anchored Noticiero Telemundo Arizona at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. and served as a reporter covering breaking news and community stories.
“Ana brings a fresh perspective and a deep commitment to serving our audiences, qualities that will strengthen our coverage and elevate our evening newscasts,” said Rossyris Silva, Vice President of News at Telemundo 39 Dallas. “We look forward to the expertise and energy she will contribute as she becomes part of our North Texas community.”
Prior to KTAZ and KHRR, Mafud was an anchor and reporter for Televisa Univision in Monterrey and Tampico, Mexico. Her journalism experience also includes roles as a radio host and digital interviewer for multiple local outlets.
Originally from Mexico, Mafud holds a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas.
