Telemundo Presents Special Programming to Commemorate Holy Week Starting This Sunday, March 29

Live from the Vatican, the network will broadcast Palm Sunday Mass and Easter Sunday Mass live coast-to-coast, in addition to presenting the film Jesús de Nazareth as part of this traditional Holy Week celebration

MIAMI – March 26, 2026 – Telemundo will commemorate Holy Week with special programming, broadcast live coast-to-coast from the Vatican, bringing audiences two of the most significant celebrations of the liturgical calendar, both led by Pope Leo XIV. The sacred observances begin on Sunday, March 29, with the Palm Sunday Mass airing at 7am ET/6am CT/4am PT from the iconic St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. The broadcast will be hosted by Karla Monroig and Aylen Del Toro, featuring special guests and reports directly from Rome. The mass will also be rebroadcast on the West Coast at 6:30am PT.

On Sunday, April 5, Telemundo will air the Easter Sunday Mass at 7am ET/6am CT/4am PT. Led by Pope Leo XIV from St. Peter’s Basilica, this celebration marks the Resurrection of Jesus. The broadcast will be hosted by Penélope Menchaca along with special guests and reports from Rome. The mass will be rebroadcast on the West Coast at 6:30am PT.

On Holy Saturday, April 4 at 9pm/8c, Telemundo will present the film Jesús de Nazareth, portraying the life and legacy of Jesus. The renowned cast includes Julián Gil as Jesus, Mayrín Villanueva as Mary, Lincoln Palomeque as Simon Peter, Eugenio Siller as John, and Gaby Espino as Mary Magdalene, among others.
