Miami, FL, March 30, 2026 – Telemundo and Billboard announced international superstars Becky G, Joy, and Julieta Venegas as the first group of groundbreaking artists to be honored at the fourth annual Billboard Latin Women in Music special, broadcasting live on April 23 at 9pm/8c on Telemundo and available to stream live on Peacock and Telemundo app. The two-hour event is the only annual televised gala that celebrates Latin female artists who are driving meaningful change and championing inclusion across the music industry.  As it celebrates its fourth successful year, Billboard’s Latin Women in Music has emerged as a bold platform where the top female artists in Latin music come together for an evening of exceptional musicianship and camaraderie. 

The initial list of awards to be bestowed this year, in recognition of their unwavering contributions to Latin music, includes:

  • Global sensation Becky G will receive the 2026 “Global Impact” award for her extraordinary ability to connect with audiences worldwide and shape popular culture through her music and voice. Over more than a decade, she has evolved from a breakout teen artist into an international star, topping charts across the globe, performing on major stages, and collaborating across genres and borders. On the Billboard charts, she topped the Hot Latin Songs chart for 10 weeks in 2022 with the global hit “MAMIII” alongside Karol G, earned a No. 1 on Latin Airplay with “Mayores” featuring Bad Bunny, and scored major entries on both Hot Latin Songs and the Billboard Hot 100 with hits like “Shower,” reinforcing her global reach and crossover appeal. Beyond music, Becky G has expanded into film and business while proudly representing her Mexican-American heritage. A passionate advocate for Latino representation, immigrant communities, women’s empowerment, and mental health awareness, she leads with authenticity and purpose. Through every endeavor, she continues to elevate Latin culture on a global stage while inspiring the next generation.
  • Joy Huerta of Jesse & Joy will be honored with the “Spirit of Change” award, recognizing artists who use their platform to drive meaningful impact within music and beyond. For more than two decades, Joy has exemplified artistry with purpose, building an acclaimed career as a songwriter, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer while emerging as a powerful advocate for social progress. She has consistently used her platform to champion immigrant rights, LGBTQ+ equality, women’s empowerment, the fight against gender-based violence, and animal welfare. On the Billboard charts, as part of Jesse & Joy, she has achieved two top 10s on the Latin Airplay chart, while earning standout successes on Latin Pop Airplay, underscoring her enduring impact and reach.  Through her music, her activism, and her unwavering commitment to inclusion and justice, Joy continues to inspire change, embodying the true spirit of an artist who understands the power of her influence to shape a better world.
  • Latin music iconJulieta Venegas will be honored with the “Artistic Excellence” award, recognizing an artist whose work is defined by exceptional craftsmanship, consistency, and a distinct creative identity. With more than three decades in music, Venegas has shaped the sound of Latin alternative pop through deeply personal songwriting, poetic lyricism, and her signature multi-instrumental talent, most notably on accordion and piano. On the Billboard charts, she has earned multiple entries across Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums, including standout successes like Limón y Sal, which earned her a first top 10 on the Top Latin Albums chart, along with enduring hits such as “Me Voy” and “Andar Conmigo,” driving her lasting commercial and cultural impact. In 2023, her latest album, Tu Historia, received a Latin Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, and she is currently leading the airwaves in Mexico with her most recent release, “Tengo Que Contarte,” featuring Natalia Lafourcade.
