MIAMI, FL – September 8, 2026 – Telemundo announced production has officially begun for its new original medical drama, “Emergencias. Unidad de Vida,” now filming at Telemundo Center’s state-of-the-art facilities in Miami, Florida. The new scripted series brings together an exceptional ensemble of acclaimed actors led by Ana Brenda Contreras and Erick Elías, alongside Geraldine Bazán, Ana Belena, Rodolfo Salas, Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Laura Flores, Mónica Dionne, and David Palacio, with the stellar performance of Luis Ernesto Franco, and a special participation by Arturo Peniche.
Set against the high-pressure world of emergency rooms, “Emergencias. Unidad de Vida” is a gripping high-energy medical drama filled with unexpected twists, forbidden passions and complex ethical dilemmas, where the urgency of saving lives collides with love, family, and personal convictions.

At the heart of the series is Gabriela Serrano, a brilliant and determined medical resident whose return to Florida forces her to confront her complicated family history while navigating a hospital system caught in a battle for its future. As the institution faces a pivotal moment, doctors, medical professionals and their families are forced to confront secrets from the past, unexpected alliances and decisions that blur the line between right and wrong.
The series also features Gloria Aura, Jerónimo Cantillo, Elena Medina, Miguel Ferreira, Paola Fernández, Pepe Gámez, Vince Miranda, Roberto Mateos, Gloria Peralta, Emma Ramos, Sebastián Silva, Johann Vera and Sara Linares, who round out the ensemble of characters whose stories intersect both inside and outside the hospital.
A Telemundo Studios production, “Emergencias. Unidad de Vida” is written by Carlos Eloy Castro and directed by Nicolas Di Blasi and Luis Sierra, with Javier Pons, Jacky Castro and Martha Godoy serving as executive producers.
