Díaz-Balart Will Also Host Dateline in Spanish on Telemundo Starting in January and Continue to Anchor “NBC Nightly News Saturday”
Loizaga Takes on Expanded Role In Addition to Anchoring Newscasts on Broadcast and Streaming
Ahora 360 Will Add to Growing 2026 Slate of Original Programming on Noticias Telemundo’s 24/7 Streaming News Fast Channel
MIAMI – October 22, 2025 – Award-winning journalist José Díaz-Balart will co-host a new news program with anchor Arantxa Loizaga on Noticias Telemundo AHORA, the 24/7 streaming news FAST channel from Noticias Telemundo. The program, Ahora 360, is set to premiere in early 2026.
Beginning in January, Díaz-Balart will also host Dateline in Spanish on Telemundo and will contribute to “Dateline”. The only anchor to host national news programs in English and Spanish, Díaz-Balart will continue to anchor “NBC Nightly News Saturday” in addition to his new roles.
Ahora 360 will feature social, political and cultural stories along with dynamic conversations with newsmakers, thought leaders and personalities discussing a diverse range of issues impacting the Latino community. It will stream Monday through Thursdays. Additional Noticias Telemundo AHORA programming will be announced in the coming months.
“José is one of the most trusted names in news and I’m excited to have him bring his signature on-air style, passion and sharp insight to a new show on our fast-growing streaming channel,” said Gemma Garcia, executive vice president of Noticias Telemundo. “I’m also thrilled Arantxa, one of our most versatile anchors who has excelled across multiple anchoring roles, will team up with Jose on a program that will offer smart and engaging context on the day’s most talked-about news.”
A groundbreaking pioneer in the news industry, Díaz-Balart was the first journalist to anchor two different evening newscasts on separate broadcast networks in English and Spanish when he took over the Saturday edition of “NBC Nightly News” in 2016. From 2009 to 2021, he served as the main anchor for the national daily newscast “Noticias Telemundo,” to which he still contributes.
Díaz-Balart began his journalism career in 1983. He has reported on some of the most consequential news stories in recent history, including presidential elections in the United States and Latin America, and moderated U.S. presidential debates. He has interviewed every U.S. president since Ronald Reagan.
Loizaga, an Emmy award-winning journalist who anchors Noticias Telemundo’s late-night newscast, will expand her role to include Ahora 360. Loizaga has covered a wide range of news, including presidential elections in the United States and Latin America. She regularly co-anchors special primetime news coverage and has conducted headline-making interviews with world leaders including former U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush. Loizaga joined Telemundo in 2021.
Ahora 360 will be the newest addition to the growing slate of programming on the free ad-supported streaming service. With more than 4 million hours watched each month, Noticias Telemundo AHORA is a top-ranking 24/7 premium Spanish-language news FAST channel that ranks among the top 20 FAST channels across the NBCUniversal portfolio.
The channel’s rapid growth reflects Noticias Telemundo’s reputation as a leading digital, broadcast and streaming news brand delivering news to a highly engaged audience across platforms, ranking as the #1 most-viewed Spanish-language broadcast news account on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X and the most-followed Spanish-language news brand on TikTok and Instagram.
Earlier this year, Telemundo, in an expansion of its morning broadcast news offerings, added a one-hour early morning simulcast from Noticias Telemundo AHORA.
The FAST channel is widely distributed, available on Roku, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, Fire TV, Peacock, NoticiasTelemundo.com and the Noticias Telemundo app. It features original news coverage with anchors Julio Vaqueiro, Nicole Suárez, Johana Suárez, Vanessa Hauc, Damià Bonmatí, Claudia de la Fuente and Loizaga.
