Miami, FL, July 17, 2026 – Telemundo and Peacock once again set new audience benchmarks for Spanish-language media delivering the most-watched FIFA World Cup 2026™ Semifinals ever with a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 10.6 million across the two matches, up +136% compared to the Semifinals in 2022 (4.5 million).

For the Semifinals, the linear match window average grew +69% (4.9 million vs. 2.9 million) and the digital average minute audience (AMA) was up +256% (5.7 million vs. 1.6 million) vs. the 2022 Semifinals.

The Argentina vs. England Semifinal showdown on July 15th delivered 11.4 million TAD, becoming the most-watched FIFA World Cup™ Semifinal ever in Spanish-language media history by Total Audience.  The match performed +139% over Argentina’s last Semifinal match in the 2022 tournament and delivered a 6.2 million AMA across streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Tuesday’s Spain vs. France Semifinal delivered a 9.8 million TAD, a +154% increase over Spain’s last FIFA World Cup™ Semifinal appearance in 2010, and a 5.2 million Average Minute Audience (AMA) across streaming platforms.

    • Both linear and streaming viewership show impressive growth compared to the 2022 tournament through the Semifinals, with the linear match window average up +83% (3.1 million vs. 1.7 million) and the digital average minute audience (AMA) up +301% (2.9 million vs. 718K).
  • With 73.0 billion total minutes consumed across Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, and Telemundo streaming platforms to date, FIFA World Cup 2026™ has surpassed the combined 43.2 billion total minutes consumed for the entire 2018 and 2022 Men’s World Cup tournaments in Spanish by +69%.
