International Soccer, Liga MX Femenil and Sunday Night Football Round Out the Weekend Across Telemundo, Universo, Peacock and Telemundo Deportes Ahora 

MIAMI, Fla. – September 30, 2026 – Telemundo Deportes presents a Fin de Semana de Clásicos (weekend of Clásicos), led by USMNT–Mexico in Oakland, CA and one of Mexican fútbol’s biggest rivalries as Chivas faces América in El Clásico de México from Glendale, AZ. USMNT vs. Mexico 

On Saturday, October 3, coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET with a two-hour special edition of Fútbol Estelar on Telemundo, Universo and Peacock, setting the stage for the USMNT vs. Mexico. Carlota Vizmanos and Miguel Gurwitz host the coverage with participation from José Luis López Salido, Omar Zerón, Diego Balado and Luis Omar Tapia. Diego Arrioja reports from the Mexico sideline, while Isabella Echeverri covers Team USA, and Andrea Mesa and Carlos Adyan join as guests. The U.S. enters the matchup riding back-to-back victories, following 4-1 win over Peru and a 4-2 triumph over Chile. Tapia and Balado narrate the match kicking off at 10:07 p.m. ET. 

Fans can join the USA vs. Mexico Watch Party live on Telemundo Deportes’ YouTube, Facebook and TikTok starting at 9:50 p.m. ET. David Balyeat and Davo Salazar will report from the stadium covering USA and Mexico respectively, while Carlos Reynoso, Sergio Sannia, Daniela Lizarazo and Fer Rojas join from Telemundo Center to share live reactions and commentary throughout the matchup. 

Liga MX and Liga MX Femenil 

On Sunday, October 4, one of Mexican fútbol’s most storied rivalries takes center stage as Guadalajara faces América in El Clásico de México on Telemundo and Peacock, with José Luis López Salido, Omar Zerón and Diego Arrioja leading the coverage. 

Earlier Sunday, Chivas faces Juárez in Liga MX Femenil action at 6:50 p.m. ET on Telemundo Deportes Ahora, with Cindy Imperial and Carmen Boquin. 

NFL’s Sunday Night Football 

Sunday’s NFL coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET with a 20-minute pregame show featuring Adriana Monsalve, Miguel Gurwitz and Rolando Cantú. The Detroit Lions then face the Carolina Panthers at 8:20 p.m. ET on Universo and Peacock with Gurwitz and Cantú on the call. 

Each night concludes at midnight ET with El Pelotazo on Telemundo, featuring highlights, analysis and conversation surrounding the biggest stories across fútbol and the NFL.
