The bilingual journalist debuts on KLBR’s ‘Noticias Telemundo Las Vegas’ today
LAS VEGAS – May 18, 2026 – Telemundo Las Vegas / KBLR, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, announced today that David Lazcano Ventura has been named multimedia journalist. He will debut today, Monday, May 18, on Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m.
Lazcano Ventura joins Telemundo Las Vegas after serving as a newsroom intern for Telemundo 44 Washington, which is part of Telemundo Station Group. A recent graduate of Florida International University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in digital communications and media, he also gained experience as an anchor and reporter for FIU’s Caplin News.
“David has demonstrated bilingual reporting and production skills, and a genuine commitment to telling stories that matter most to audiences,” said Johali Carmona, News Director for Telemundo Las Vegas. “We’re excited to welcome him to our team and look forward to the perspective and energy he will bring to our coverage and our newsroom.”
Lazcano Ventura previously interned at WSVN Channel 7 in Miami. He also served as a journalism fellow with Fuente Latina, gaining international reporting experience while learning global and bilingual reporting strategies. He also holds an associate degree in journalism and mass communication from Miami Dade College.
Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas airs weekdays at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
