Award-winning newsroom leader joins WCAU and WWSI on June 15
PHILADELPHIA – May 14, 2026 – NBCUniversal Local Philadelphia today announced that Noé González has been named news director for NBC10 Philadelphia / WCAU and Telemundo62 Filadelfia / WWSI, effective June 15. In his new role, the award-winning newsroom leader will oversee editorial strategy and newsgathering operations for NBC10 and Telemundo62, reporting to Elizabeth Flores, vice president of news.
Gonzalez joins NBC10 and Telemundo62 from Telemundo 39 Phoenix and Telemundo 40 Tucson, which are part of NBCU Local’s Telemundo Station Group, where he has served as vice president of news since January 2022. In this position, he led Noticiero Telemundo Arizona to become the top-ranked newscast across multiple time periods, regardless of language, and oversaw editorial innovation and multiplatform expansion.

Overall, González has over 20 years of news and production experience. He has held leadership roles with Telemundo-owned stations over the past 12 years, including as news director for Telemundo Utah / KULX from 2019 to 2022. He previously held several leadership roles with Telemundo 39 Phoenix and Telemundo 40 Tucson, including executive producer, managing editor and assistant news director.
González began his career with Telemundo Enterprises as a photojournalist and video journalist. His work has been recognized with multiple honors from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Rocky Mountain Region), including the Emmy Awards for overall excellence in 2023 and 2024.
