Liliana Salgado Joins Noticiero Telemundo Arizona as Multimedia and Investigative Reporter

Salgado will also lead Telemundo Investiga, the station’s new investigative unit in Arizona

PHOENIX, Ariz. – April 13, 2026 –Telemundo 39 / KTAZ and Telemundo 40 / KHRR, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, announced today that Liliana Salgado has joined Noticiero Telemundo Arizona as multimedia and investigative reporter. She will make her on-air debut today and will also lead Telemundo Investiga.  

Telemundo Investiga is the station’s new investigative unit in Arizona focused on exposing irregularities, uncovering wrongdoing and holding institutions accountable, with the goal of driving meaningful impact in local communities.

Most recently, Salgado served as a video journalist at Reuters, where she reported on enterprise and breaking news stories. Prior, she spent nearly six years at Univision Arizona, where her reports focused on public safety, immigration, education, housing and government accountability. During her time there, she earned a total of 19 regional Emmy Awards.

A bilingual journalist born and raised in Phoenix, Salgado began her professional career at Univision Nevada, where she worked as a multimedia journalist producing daily news and enterprise stories for the Las Vegas market. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication, with a minor in Spanish, from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Noticiero Telemundo Arizona is presented on Telemundo 39 and Telemundo 40 Monday through Friday at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m., and weekends at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
