MIAMI, FLA. – September 12, 2024 – Telemundo presents a weekend of deportes including fútbol, racing, and football. As the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA, Premier League, and NFL, the network is airing the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup™ now entering the quarterfinals, the FIFA Futsal World Cup™ just kicking off, and the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Huston Texans.
FIFA Futsal World Cup™ kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 14 with matches airing on Universo and the Telemundo App. Among the top teams to watch are Brazil, Spain, and Portugal. View the full schedule here.
On Sunday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. ET, the IndyCar season comes to a close with the final race of the 2024 season: Big Music City Grand Prix at the Nashville Superspeedway. Zona Mixta’s Host Veronica Rodriguez will host the event led by the race commentary team of Sergio Rodriguez and Jaime Macias with support on the field from Frederik Oldenburg. Telemundo will follow Hispanic storylines including Alex Palou defending his title and Pato O’Ward’s IndyCar future.
Then, Telemundo’s Sunday Night Football team featuring Emmy Award-winning sports anchor Miguel Gurwtiz, former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Rolando Cantú and sideline reporter Ariana Figuera, will be on the call on at 8 p.m. ET on Universo and Peacock for the Chicago Bears vs. Huston Texans matchup. The pregame show will celebrate Telemundo’s Hispanic Heritage campaign highlighting 40 Hispanic players across the 32 NFL teams including Bears Cairo Santos. Viewers can expect interviews with Bears Running Back D’Andre Swift and Texans Wide Receiver Robert Woods.
Telemundo Deportes’ Spanish-language presentation of NBC Sunday Night Football will also be available on TeleXitos, Telemundo Station Group’s national multicast network. Coverage of 16 regular-season games will air on TeleXitos, which is available on over-the-air (OTA) TV in 43 U.S. TV markets, and on pay-TV systems, including Xfinity, Spectrum, Optimum, and Fios, in select markets.
