Miami, FL, June 22, 2026 – FIFA World Cup 2026™ continues to deliver the highest results ever and break audience records across Telemundo, Peacock and Telemundo’s digital platforms.

Due to Nielsen’s revised data, Telemundo’s results for the games played Thursday, June 11 through Monday, June 15, 2026 were reinstated. All posted headlines for those games remain the same. 

Below are updated total delivery numbers according to Nielsen’s revised data:

June 11 – Mexico vs. South Africa Opening match (10.1 million TAD):

  • Most-watched FIFA World Cup™ opening game in history, regardless of language
  • Most-watched FIFA World Cup™ Men’s game in Spanish-language television history
  • Most-watched FIFA World Cup™ Group Stage game not featuring Team USA, regardless of language
  • Most-streamed Mexico match in FIFA World Cup™ history, with an Average Minute Audience (AMA) of 4.4 million viewers and most-streamed Group Stage match in Spanish-language history
  • Most-watched Thursday ever for Telemundo, averaging 2.0 million viewers in Total Day, and the network’s highest rated day since the 2022 World Cup™ Men’s Finals

June 12 – USA vs. Paraguay (7.0 million TAD):

  • Most-watched USMNT FIFA World Cup™ match ever on Spanish-language television

June 13 – Brazil vs. Morocco (7.9 million TAD):

  • Most-watched FIFA World Cup™ Brazil game ever on Spanish-language television

June 14 – Ecuador vs. Ivory Coast (6.8 million TAD):

  • Most-watched FIFA World Cup™ Ecuador game ever on Spanish-language television
