Verónica Rodríguez Returns to Zona Mixta this Friday After Having Served as Host During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™

MIAMI, Fla. – February 15, 2024 – Telemundo’s leading late-night weekend sports show Zona Mixta welcomes sports journalist Verónica Rodríguez as a host of the sports entertainment program airing weekly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 p.m. ET or after network news on Telemundo.  

In her new role on Zona Mixta, Rodríguez will engage viewers with her signature tone and high energy, tackling the hottest sports topics alongside a rotating panel of Telemundo Deportes’ award-winning team of sports anchors and commentators. She will be a key contributor to the network’s coverage of major sporting events in the U.S. and around the world, from the Super Bowl to the FIFA World Cup and Olympics, as well as the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, Liga MX’s Chivas de Guadalajara, and the Premier League.  

Additionally, Rodríguez will serve as a host of Liga MX’s Chivas de Guadalajara pre- and post-game show, enhancing the network’s Liga MX offering with complete around the game coverage, analysis, special reports and exclusive interviews.

Rodriguez is a familiar face to Telemundo’s viewers, having worked on various sports properties for Telemundo Deportes such as Chivas, and serving as interim host of Zona Mixta during major global sporting events including the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™.  

With over 15 years of sports broadcasting experience, Rodriguez is a knowledgeable and versatile sports journalist who has covered a variety of sports beyond soccer, including Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, NBA, WWE, and the Olympics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Ibero-American University.
