30-minute special commemorates 10th anniversary of Juan Gabriel’s passing by exploring the enduring impact of his music, philanthropy, and cultural legacy.
EL PASO, Texas – Aug. 27, 2026 – Ten years after the passing of Juan Gabriel, one of the most influential and beloved artists in Latin music history, Telemundo 48 El Paso / KTDO presents Amor Eterno: The Legacy of El Divo, a 30-minute special that examines how his music, vision, and generosity continue to resonate across generations and borders. The special debuts tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 28, at 4:30 p.m. MT on Telemundo 48 El Paso.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, at 9 p.m. local time (check local listings), the special will also be available across Telemundo Station Group’s four regional FAST channels: Noticias Telemundo California, Noticias Telemundo Florida, Noticias Telemundo Noreste and Noticias Telemundo Texas. The channels are available across leading streaming services and connected TV (CTV) devices, as well as on Telemundo-owned station digital platforms.

Through conversations with those entrusted with maintaining his vision, audiences will learn how Alberto Aguilera Valadez designed the space and how his influence continues to inspire cultural and tourism initiatives in the region.
The special also explores the remarkable staying power of Juan Gabriel’s music. A decade after his passing, his songs continue to reach new audiences, inspire artists across genres, and maintain an enduring presence in popular culture.
Beyond the music, Amor Eterno: The Legacy of El Divo highlights the lesser-known humanitarian side of the artist. The program features stories of individuals whose lives were transformed by Semjase, the organization Juan Gabriel founded to provide education, housing, and support to vulnerable children. Through music education and artistic development, many of these children discovered opportunities that helped shape their futures, reflecting the values of generosity, creativity, and hope that defined the artist’s life.
