Kristen Welker Propels “Meet the Press” from #3 to #1 In Key Demo
September 23, 2025 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was the #1 Sunday public affairs show among key A25-54 demo viewers for the 2024-25 broadcast season according to Nielsen. In just two seasons as moderator, Welker has taken the show from #3 to #1 in the key A25-54 demo.
Meet the Press averaged 447,000 key A25-54 demo viewers, leading ABC by +52,000 (+13%) and CBS by +7,000 (+2%). Meet the Press delivered the largest year-over-year growth in A25-54 viewers among all Sunday public affairs programs, and posted its widest lead over ABC in four years and over CBS in three years.
Meet the Press has never lost a month in the Washington, D.C. market among total viewers. Beyond broadcast, Meet the Press’ digital audience grew throughout the season, reaching millions of viewers on NBC News’ YouTube and TikTok accounts.
This broadcast season featured two sitdown interviews with President Trump, in-depth conversations with Republican and Democratic leaders in both the House and Senate, and world leaders including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Welker also showcased her signature “Meet the Moment” conversations with Mel Robbins, Olivia Munn, Amanda Gorman, and more, and led two impactful broadcast specials: “Lost & Lonely: America’s Mental Health Crisis” and “Finding Common Ground: A Bipartisan Conversation with Sens. Raphael Warnock and James Lankford.”
