The 3rd Hour of TODAY to Spotlight Ocean Conservation Efforts in Alaska and the Bahamas

·      Dylan Dreyer and Al Roker will Dive Into Whale and Coral Conservation Missions in Two Special Segments Sponsored by MSC Cruises

NEW YORK – August 12, 2026 — The 3rd Hour of TODAY announced this morning that it will travel to Alaska and the Bahamas to spotlight critical conservation work to protect marine environments in each destination. These segments are sponsored by MSC Cruises.

Dylan Dreyer will travel to Ketchikan, Alaska, where she will explore marine conservation organization ORCA’s ongoing whale conservation initiatives, including the research being captured aboard the MSC Poesia to help prevent vessel strikes. The segment will air Thursday, August 13, with Dylan live from Ketchikan.

Following two prior segments, Al Roker will head to Ocean Cay, Bahamas, to follow up on coral restoration efforts and the importance of preserving coral reef ecosystems. The segment will air in late November.
