Ranked #1 in Both A25-54 and A18-49 Demo Viewers Following Breaking News

Ranks #1 in the Key A25-54 Demo Season-to-Date

April 29, 2026 – Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was ranked the #1 Sunday public affairs show for both A25-54 and A18-49 demo viewers this past Sunday, April 26, according to Nielsen. The show followed breaking news Saturday night; a suspect was later charged in connection with an attempted assassination of President Trump outside the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Meet the Press averaged 484,000 key A25-54 demo viewers this past Sunday, leading ABC by +65,000 (+15%) and CBS by +107,000 (+28%). In addition, Meet the Press averaged 322,000 A18-49 demo viewers, leading ABC by +16,000 (+5%) and CBS by +64,000 (+25%). Compared to prior year, Meet the Press improved its A18-49 lead vs. CBS (+64,000 vs. +54,000 prior year). This marks Meet the Press’ largest A25-54 demo audience since March and largest A18-49 demo audience since January. 

Meet the Press averaged 2.503 million total viewers this past Sunday. Meet the Press was the #1 Sunday public affairs show among key A25-54 demo viewers for the 2024-25 broadcast season and ranks #1 season-to-date for the 2025-26 season. Meet the Press has never lost a month in the Washington, D.C. market among total viewers.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.).
