TOMORROW on MSNBC — NBC News Correspondent Courtney Kube’s Exclusive One-on-One Interview with VA Sec. Denis McDonough
Nov. 8, 2021 – As the nation commemorates Veterans Day, NBC News and MSNBC will air a week-long series honoring the men and women who serve our nation, with in-depth reports on their service, sacrifice and bravery. Starting today, Those Who Serve will air across TODAY, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, NBCNews.com, NBC News NOW and MSNBC’s Into America podcast.
Airing tomorrow, Nov. 9, on MSNBC, NBC News pentagon correspondent Courtney Kube will sit down for an exclusive one-on-one with Veterans Affairs Sec. Denis McDonough. In the wide-ranging interview, McDonough will discuss imposing mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations in the VA, mental health solutions for veterans following the withdrawal from Afghanistan and how he plans to help service members exposed to burn pits.
Additional programming throughout the week will include:
- Tomorrow, NBC News senior investigative and legal correspondent Cynthia McFadden will report for NBC Nightly News on new solutions to help the next generation of service members suffering from PTSD.
- TODAY news anchor Craig Melvin will have an inside look tomorrow on TODAY and MSNBC at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier opening to the public for the first time in decades and the new plans to allow the public to pay their respects.
- On Wednesday, NBC News senior national correspondent Tom Llamas will speak with Latinos in the military about the challenges they face moving up in the ranks, as well as grassroots and Department of Defense efforts underway to fix the problem. His report will air on NBC Nightly News and NBC News NOW.
