#1 Most Watched Sunday Show in the Nation’s Capital for 76 Straight Months
August 17, 2021 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, August 15, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Michael Osterholm, Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. Note: CBS Face The Nation was retitled this past Sunday.
MTP averaged 2.650 million total viewers, topping ABC’s This Week by +14 percent (+334,000). This marks MTP’s biggest total viewer lead over ABC in almost four months (since April 18, 2021).
MTP was also #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and averaged 615,000 A25-54 viewers: +38 percent (+170,000) more than ABC’s This Week. This was MTP’s biggest demo lead over ABC in almost seven months (since January 17, 2021). Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP more than tripled its demo lead over ABC.
Season-to-date, MTP remains #1 in the key demo for six straight years.
Reaches More Than 2.3 Million Video Views Across Digital
MTP reached 2.3 million video views across digital platforms, up 433 percent week over week.
This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 534,000 video views and 427,000 viewers. And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, August 8 was the show’s strongest since May 9th with 1 million video views on YouTube and 752,000 viewers.
76 Months as #1 Most Watched Sunday Show in Washington, D.C.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning in total viewers for 76 straight months.
