Monday, March 15, 2021 – Beginning today, NBC News will take an in-depth look at the future of travel with week-long special coverage and exclusive reporting across TODAY, NBC Nightly News,MSNBC, NBCNews.com and NBC News NOW. With the hope of a post-pandemic world on the horizon, the network-wide reporting will explore the broad-reaching and devastating impacts of Covid-19 on domestic and global travel, the future of the industry, and how companies are adapting to a new reality and making changes to keep customers safe.
On Tuesday, March, 16, Lester Holt will sit down with Delta CEO Ed Bastian exclusively onNBC Nightly News to discuss how the airline plans to get passengers back in seats, the health of the industry and the challenges faced by airline employees when passengers don’t comply with mask-wearing requirements. During the week, TODAY will explore the future of air travel with exclusive reports on Qatar Airways’ initiative to incorporate Covid-19 vaccination and testing information into boarding passes, as well as an exclusive look at Waymo self-driving cars and the future of ride sharing services.
