MIAMI, FL, January 22, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 The ninth season of Telemundo\u2019s<\/a> acclaimed Super Series\u2122 “El Se\u00f1or de los Cielos” is set to premiere on February 13 at 10pm\/9c marking the return of the notorious Aurelio Casillas, portrayed by Rafael Amaya<\/a>, and the Casillas family.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family is everything for the infamous drug lord, and, in this ninth season, Aurelio’s journey will take him on a path to protect his loved ones as he seeks revenge and absolute power.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rutila Casillas (<\/strong>Carmen Aub<\/strong><\/a>):<\/strong><\/em> Ruti<\/em>la, Aurelio\u2019s daughter, insists on staying away from the family business after all the pain and losses she has suffered. However, her fate and bad luck push her into a seemingly inescapable hole. Yet, her family remains dedicated to helping her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ismael Casillas (<\/strong>Iv\u00e1n Arana<\/strong><\/a>):<\/strong> Ismael will face a great internal conflict with his father’s imminent return to lead the family business, as the power he had assumed in Aurelio’s absence begins to slip away. This triggers a change in Ismael that may destabilize the family and strain the relationship between father and son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diana Ahumada (<\/strong>Isabella Castillo<\/strong><\/a>): <\/strong>Diana, a high-ranking member of the Casillas Cartel, adopts a new identity to live in freedom and economic independence. However, unforeseen tragic events within the family force her to stay close and continue the legacy of violence that is tied to the Casillas surname.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mercedes \u201cMecha\u201d de la Cruz (<\/strong>\u00c1frica Zavala<\/strong><\/a>):<\/strong> As Aurelio\u2019s lover, Mecha stays with him and becomes increasingly integrated into the Casillas family. Her driving force has always been to lead her children along the path of goodness and truth, but she realizes that keeping them away from drug traffickers is now impossible. Mecha will face a new version of herself which will leave no doubt that she is a true Casillas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diego Bustamante (<\/strong>Jason Romo):<\/strong><\/a>Diego, Mecha’s son, is very ambitious and lies with ease. He has always had great aspirations but not what his mother would have wanted for him, as he wants to create his own empire within the world of drug trafficking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
