Miami, FL \u2013 October 5, 2026<\/strong> \u2013<\/strong> International recording band Fuerza Regida<\/strong> will receive the Billboard Vanguard Award<\/em><\/strong> at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards<\/em><\/strong>, recognizing a career defined by innovation and an unconventional creative vision that has pushed the boundaries of m\u00fasica mexicana and expanded the genre\u2019s reach around the world. The group, a 12-time finalist this year, will also take the stage for a special performance during the longest-running and most prestigious awards show in Latin music, presented LIVE Thursday, October 22, at 8 p.m. ET \/ 7C<\/strong>, on Telemundo<\/strong> and Peacock<\/strong> from the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The night will kick off with star-studded blue-carpet coverage across platforms starting at 7 p.m. ET \/ 6C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will also be available on Universo<\/strong> and the Telemundo app<\/strong>, as well as throughout Latin America and the Caribbean via Telemundo Internacional<\/strong>. The Billboard Vanguard Award<\/em><\/strong> honors artists who dare to go beyond the conventional. Formed in San Bernardino in 2015, Fuerza Regida<\/strong> has emerged as one of the most influential forces in m\u00fasica mexicana, honoring its Mexican roots while continually pushing the genre into new territory. Led by frontman and singer-songwriter Jes\u00fas Ortiz Paz (JOP)<\/strong>, alongside Jos\u00e9 \u201cPel\u00f3n\u201d Garc\u00eda, Mois\u00e9s L\u00f3pez, Khrystian Ramos<\/strong> <\/strong>and <\/strong>Samuel J\u00e1imez<\/strong>, <\/strong>the group has built a distinct sound and identity rooted in its bicultural experience, connecting with audiences far beyond traditional genre and geographic boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 46 million monthly Spotify listeners, 35 billion career streams and 16 entries on the Billboard Hot 100<\/strong>, Fuerza Regida<\/strong> has translated that vision into global impact. The group has scored major hits including \u201cMarlboro Rojo,\u201d \u201cTQM,\u201d \u201cEl Jefe\u201d with Shakira and \u201cTu Boda\u201d with Oscar Maydon, a No. 1 hit on Billboard\u2019s Hot Latin Songs chart that also reached No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the group reached another milestone with its ninth studio album, 111XPANTIA<\/em>, which debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music and Spotify and rose to No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Top Latin Albums chart in its second week. 111XPANTIA <\/em>also opened at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, becoming the highest charting Spanish-language album by a duo or group ever. Their impact has extended beyond the charts, from becoming the first regional Mexican group to perform at Tyler, the Creator\u2019s Camp Flog Gnaw to bringing m\u00fasica mexicana to Paris Fashion Week, where JOP performed from the front row of KidSuper\u2019s runway show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That vision has also carried over to the group\u2019s live performances. Fuerza Regida<\/strong> set a record as the best-selling Latin band in the history of Los Angeles\u2019 Intuit Dome, sold out Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl on the same weekend, and performed for tens of thousands of fans across Mexico and Latin America.
