Miami, FL, September 16, 2025<\/strong> – International superstar Laura Pausini<\/strong> will be honored with the Billboard Icon Award<\/em><\/strong>and performduring the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards<\/em><\/strong>, solidifying her status as one of the most influential artists of all time. The longest-running and most prestigious Latin music awards show will broadcast live on Telemundo<\/strong> on Thursday, October 23 at 8pm\/7c from the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. <\/strong>The show will also stream on the Telemundo App<\/strong> and Peacock,<\/strong> and air across 22 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional<\/strong>. The Billboard Icon Award<\/em><\/strong> is given to an artist who has carved out a career that has not only remained relevant through time but has also established them as one of the most distinguished artists in their genre, celebrated globally for achieving both musical and commercial success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 75 million records sold worldwide<\/strong>, six billion digital streams<\/strong>,<\/strong> and over 30 years in the music industry<\/strong>, Laura Pausini <\/strong>is the most internationally recognized Italian voice and a global pop icon. Some of her recent achievements include her first and only entry on the Billboard Hot 100<\/strong> chart in November 2024 with her hit single \u201cSe Fue\u201d featuring Rauw Alejandro. In 2023, she was honored by the Latin Recording Academy<\/strong> as \u201c<\/em>Person of the Year<\/em>,\u201d<\/em> becoming the first Italian artist to receive the accolade.
