Tournament Kicks Off This Saturday, August 31 with Matches Airing on Universo and the Telemundo App
MIAMI, FLA. – August 28, 2024 – Telemundo, the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA through 2026, announces the full schedule for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World World Cup™ kicking off Saturday, August 31 at 3:55 p.m. ET with matches airing on Universo and the Telemundo app.
The host nation will take part in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup™ for the third time and attempt to become the first team since Germany in 2010 to capture the crown at home. Real Madrid superstar and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ breakout player Linda Caicedo is set to appear in her second U-20 global finals as part of Colombia’s squad.
U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team starts the month-long tournament with a match against Spain, then faces Morocco on Wednesday, Sept. 4 and closes the group stage with Paraguay on Friday, Sept. 7. The network will also be closely following the Hispanic teams and players, highlighting the rising stars of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Espana, Mexico, Paraguay, Venezuela.
