Top Chef Vip 3-Hour Finale Positions Telemundo As The #1 Spanish-Language Network In Primetime

Most Watched Finale in the Top Chef VIP Franchise History with 1.3 Million Total Viewers Closing Out Full Season as #1 Spanish-language Program in its Timeslot

MIAMI – July 30, 2024 – Last night’s finale of Telemundo’s Top Chef VIP ranked #1 in Spanish-language television during its 7-10pm timeslot, delivering 304,000 adults 18-49 and 1.3 million total viewers, making it the most watched finale in franchise history among total viewers, according to Nielsen.  The culinary competition finale that crowned Patricia Navidad as the third season champion propelled Telemundo to be the most-watched Spanish-language network in 7-11pm primetime, delivering an average of 307,000 adults 18-49 and 1.2 million total viewers.  

Locally, the finale was the #1 Spanish-language program in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Chicago, and the #1 program, regardless of language, in Phoenix, in its timeslot among adults 18-49. 

According to Talkwalker Social Content Ratings, the Top Chef VIP finale hosted by Carmen Villalobos, was the #1 broadcast program regardless of language, excluding sports, with 443,000 total interactions and 1.6 million total video views across Facebook, Instagram, X and the Telemundo Entretenimiento channel on YouTube. On digital, the finale achieved 6,469 live linear hours, outperforming season two by +23%.

In addition, over the course of the first 9 weeks of the competition, Top Chef VIP Season 3 has generated 825 million total engagements and 138 million total hours across television, digital and social platforms.  On linear, season 3 garnered an average of 951,000 total viewers, outperforming season 2 by +9%, and claiming the #1 position in Spanish-language television in its timeslot, excluding sports and specials.

Featuring three-hour weekday episodes and a Sunday edition, the third season of Top Chef VIP kicked off with 20 renowned personalities who put their cooking skills to the test to conquer the palates of the three prominent chefs, Antonio De Livier, Belén Alonso and Inés “Chef Tita” Páez. Hosted by Carmen Villalobos, the hit cooking competition presented innovative and unexpected challenges that took celebrities out of their comfort zone in episodes full of rivalries, drama, and controversy. In the end, one contestant was crowned as the champion, taking home the title of Top Chef VIP and the $200,000 cash prize.
