Fandom for New Seasons of La Casa de los Famosos and El Señor de los Cielos Continues to Fuel Viewership in Weekday Primetime
La Casa de los Famosos Sunday Edition Also Driving Network to #1 in Spanish-language Sunday Primetime Among Adults 18-49
MIAMI, FL – March 4, 2024 – Telemundo ranked as the #1 Spanish-language broadcast network in weekday primetime last week, fueled by the latest seasons of La Casa de los Famosos and El Señor de los Cielos. According to Nielsen, the network delivered an average of 444,000 adults 18-49, 166,000 adults 18-34 and over 1.3 million total viewers in 7pm-11pm primetime, outperforming Univision by 26%, 48% and 10%, respectively.

During its sixth week of competition, La Casa de los Famosos delivered its highest rated week of the season with an average of 455,000 adults 18-49 during its 7pm-10pm timeslot. In addition, Monday night’s episode was the highest rated episode of this season to date, with 498,000 adults 18-49. The show also continues to deliver increased total engagement week over week with the week of February 20th racking in a new high of over 218 million total engagements and 28 million hours consumed across platforms.
Coupled with the recently launched Pica y Se Extiende news entertainment show, La Casa de los Famosos Sunday night edition is also fueling Telemundo to #1 on Spanish-language television on Sunday nights among adults 18-49, winning three out of the four weeks in February (excluding only Super Bowl Sunday on February 11.)
Telemundo’s longest-running Super Series, El Señor de los Cielos, continues to wow audiences with its adrenaline-filled new season, delivering an average of 411,000 adults 18-49 for the week. Last Wednesday’s episode was the second-highest rated episode of the season since premiere night, delivering 465,000 adults 18-49. The show also ranked as the #1 entertainment show, regardless of language, in its timeslot among adults 18-34 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and as #2, regardless of language, among adults 18-49 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The series also outperformed the premiere week of Univision’s new 10pm series by 19% among adults 18-49.
