Ranks #1 Program in Spanish-language TV in Primetime Fueling Telemundo to #1 Spanish-language Network in Primetime

MIAMI – June 14, 2024 – Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernández joined Telemundo in Orlando on Wednesday night to celebrate the two-year countdown to FIFA World Cup 2026™ at the USMNT vs. Brazil match, which ended in a 1-1 draw and a big win for the network.  

The friendly posted a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 1.3 million viewers, ranking as the second-highest Team USA match on Telemundo (behind 1.7 million TAD for USA vs. Mexico in April 2023). Telemundo’s broadcast ranked as the #1 program in Spanish language TV in primetime among adults 18-49 (369,000) and total viewers (1.1 million) and fueled the network to rank #1 SLTV net among adults 18-49 (321,000) and total viewers (1 million). Telemundo out-delivered the English telecast by +30% among total viewers. Locally, the game ranked #1 regardless of language in the time slot in LA and Miami among 18-49.  

Hernández mingled with fans and snapped some great photos with USMNT midfielder Chrisitan PulisicChicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos and Brazilian Women’s National Team legend Marta Silva. Hernández made a guest appearance on Telemundo’s broadcast of the match during the pre-game coverage alongside Carlota Vizmanos and later joined Copan Alvarez during the hydration break.
