Telemundo’s El Señor De Los Cielos Returns for a Landmark Tenth Season Featuring the Iconic Rafael Amaya

MIAMI, FL – January 22, 2026 – Telemundo announced the return of its Emmy Award-winning franchise El Señor de los Cielos (The Lord of the Skies) for a tenth season featuringRafael Amaya as the legendary Aurelio Casillas. Spanish-language media’s longest running and most successful scripted series, El Señor de los Cielos reshaped the industry and set a new standard for Latino storytelling since its inaugural season in 2013.

Season ten marks a return to the saga’s original essence, revealing Aurelio as a man capable of conquering the world, but unable to control himself. After disappearing from his clan’s radar, Aurelio comes back to reclaim power and avenge his family, only to cross the ultimate line by betraying his own, setting in motion the collapse of his empire.

“Aurelio Casillas is the most iconic role of my career, and returning for this milestone season allows us to continue expanding his legacy,” said Rafael Amaya, who will also serve as an executive producer on the series for the first time. “I’m proud to once again collaborate with Telemundo to continue telling this story for the audience that has been with us from the beginning.”
