MIAMI – November 25, 2025 – Telemundo’s live, coast-to-coast broadcast of the 74th Miss Universe® from Thailand set a new record last Thursday, delivering over 2.6 million total viewers and 714,000 Adults 18-49, becoming the most-watched primetime entertainment special on Spanish-language television in 2025, according to Nielsen. The international telecast, which crowned Fátima Bosch of Mexico as the new Miss Universe®, also ranked as the #1 entertainment program, regardless of language, on Thursday among adults 18-49. Telemundo’s one-hour pre-show, Celebrando Nuestras Reinas, that served as a prelude to the main event, delivered strong viewership as well, averaging 1.45 million total viewers and 355,000 adults 18-49.
Hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes, Danilo Carrera, Carlos Adyan and Jessica Carrillo, with Julia Gama serving as backstage reporter, Miss Universe® along with the pre-show Celebrando Nuestras Reinas, propelled Telemundo to rank as the #1 Spanish-language network from 7–11pm, outperforming Univision by +86% among total viewers (2.3 million vs. 1.2 million) and +78% among adults 18–49 (624,000 vs. 350,000). Additionally, Telemundo ranked as the #1 network in 8–11pm prime across all broadcast and cable networks, regardless of language, among adults 18–49.
The show’s live stream on Peacock also achieved remarkable results, driving triple-digit growth (+241%) in hours watched and engagement versus 2024, ranking as the #1 Telemundo live event and the top-performing installment within the Miss Universe® franchise.
According to Talkwalker, Miss Universe® 2025 ranked as the #1 most social program of the day across all of television, regardless of language, leading in both total interactions and video views. The event generated nearly 17 million total interactions and 49 million total video views, marking an 8% year-over-year increase in interactions and a sixfold rise in video views compared to last year. Across the Telemundo App and Peacock, the live broadcast and digital performance also demonstrated impressive growth, driving 11 million livestream minutes (+111% vs. 2024) and 390,000 views (+80% vs. 2024).
Across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok, Miss Universe® 2025 amplified its social media impact, delivering 36.5 million total social actions (+42% YoY) and 467.6 million total social video views (+14% YoY). On YouTube, coverage on the @TelemundoEntretenimiento channel, including the Preliminary Competition, National Costume Show, and Live Interactive Chat, garnered 11.8 million views, representing a 30% year-over-year increase.
Meanwhile, Telemundo’s daytime block with En Casa con Telemundo (1pm) and La Mesa Caliente (3pm) each ranked #1 in their respective time slots among adults 18–49 on Thursday featuring exclusive coverage from Thailand.
