MIAMI – April 23, 2025 – Telemundo announced it will air for the first time the prestigious PLATINO Awards, the internationally-recognized ceremony that celebrates the best of cinema and television in Spanish and Portuguese, live this Sunday, April 27 at 3pm/2c. In its twelfth edition, the glamorous event that brings together outstanding industry personalities and stars, recognizes excellence in Ibero-American film and television productions in an unforgettable gala that will be held at the IFEMA Municipal Palace in Madrid, Spain. The PLATINO Awards will also air simultaneously on the Spanish-language entertainment cable network, UNIVERSO.
The ceremony, hosted by Aislinn Derbez and Asier Etxeandía, will feature renowned personalities such as Adriana Barraza, Alfredo Castro, Álvaro Morte, Amaury Nolasco, Ana de la Reguera, Ana María Orozco, Danilo Carrera, Eugenio Derbez, Karla Sofía Gascón, Kate del Castillo, Laura Londoño, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Natalia Reyes, Nico Furtado, Paz Vega, Renata Magalhães, Rodrigo Guirao, and Valentina Zenere, among other personalities from the arts, culture, and social media space. The event will also feature musical performances by renowned artists such as María Becerra, Pablo Alborán, and Prince Royce, among others.
During the PLATINO Awards gala, the renowned actress, director, and producer Eva Longoria will be honored for her film career and her efforts to raise the visibility of the Latino community within the U.S. audiovisual industry.
