Miami, FL, October 16, 2025 – Telemundo and Billboard announced today that acclaimed Afro-Colombian singer-songwriter Goyo and renowned Mexican television personality Javier Poza will serve as hosts of the prestigious 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, joined by an exciting lineup of musical artists, television stars and celebrities who will also take the stage as presenters. The longest-running and most prestigious Latin music awards will broadcast live on Telemundo on Thursday, October 23 at 8pm/7c, stream on the Telemundo App and Peacock, and air throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional. Tickets to the event are now available on Ticketmaster. The awards show will be preceded by the glamorous walk of the artists on the blue carpet during the one-hour special Premios Billboard de la Música Latina: La Alfombra at 7pm/6c.
Goyo, a singer, songwriter, and rapper from Chocó, Colombia, is one of the most influential and visionary voices in contemporary Latin music. As a founding member of the GRAMMY®-winning group ChocQuibTown, she has elevated Afro-Colombian identity to global stages through a sound that fuses rap, tropical rhythms, and alternative beats. In 2025, she released her first solo album, Pantera, a celebration of her Afro-Latino heritage, and has collaborated with artists such as Carlos Vives, Carlos Santana, and Ziggy Marley. She is also recognized for her activism in support of inclusion, gender equality, and Afro-Latino representation. Goyo will also be part of the Afrobeats panel at Billboard Latin Music Week, accompanied by Humberto “Humby” Viana, Kapo, Ozuna, and Venesti, to discuss the new global rhythm of Latin music.
With a career that spans over 30 years, Javier Poza is one of the most respected television personalities in Mexico and the United States. His career includes successful entertainment and reality programs, most recently as host of La Casa de los Famosos: All Stars 2025 and the first season of La Isla: Desafío Extremo, both broadcast on Telemundo. Before joining the network, he hosted Javier Poza en Fórmula for 14 years on Grupo Radio Fórmula. His professionalism, approachable style, and versatility have made him one of the most trusted voices in Spanish-language entertainment.
Telemundo stars will also take part in the awards as presenters: Andrea Meza from La Mesa Caliente; Danilo Carrera, actor from Sed de Venganza and Velvet El Nuevo Imperio; Fabiola Guajardo, who starred on La Jefa, Jacky Bracamontes, host of Miss Universe Latina: El Reality; and Luis Omar Tapia and Carlota Vizmanos from Telemundo Deportes. Other artists and celebrities presenting awards include Clave Especial, Isabella Ladera, Ivan Cornejo, Jhayco, Morat, Molusco, Omar Alfanno, Pancho Uresti, Yailin “La Más Viral,” Yamilex Hernández, and Yami Safdie.
Capping off the big night, the show will feature live performances by an all-star lineup, including the long-awaited return of Daddy Yankee to the stage, and appearances by Abraham Mateo, Angel Lopez, Arthur Hanlon, Carlos Vives, Danny Ocean, Emilia, Elvis Crespo, Grupo Frontera, Juan Duque, Kapo, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho, Laura Pausini, Los Pleneros de la Cresta, Musza, Netón Vega, NXNNI, Olga Tañón, Óscar Maydon, Peso Pluma, Ozuna, Wisin, and Xavi.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards will be preceded by the traditional blue carpet special, Billboard Latin Music Awards: La Alfombra, where finalists, performers, presenters, and hosts will showcase their best fashion. The one-hour special will air live on Telemundo at 7pm/6c and will be hosted by Andrea Meza from La Mesa Caliente; Aleyda Ortiz, Carlos Aydan, and Gabriel Coronel from En Casa con Telemundo; Chiky Bombom from Hoy Día and En Casa con Telemundo; and Clovis Nienow from Hoy Día.
