MIAMI – September 22, 2025 – Telemundo’s La Isla: Desafío Extremo has officially revealed the 18 contestants heading to the Caribbean for a must-watch new season, premiering Tuesday, October 7 at 7pm/6c. With the addition of Mauricio Islas, Julieta Grajales, José María Galeano, Jason Romo, and Zoraida Gómez, the cast is now complete and ready to face the most extreme challenges in their quest for the $200,000 cash prize, in a competition full of shifting alliances where their greatest ally might become their fiercest rival.

Joining the previously announced cast, including Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Christian de la Campa, Helen Ochoa, Gary Centeno, Ximena Herrera, Estefanía Ahumada, Fernanda Flores, Martín Salvador, Moi Guiquita, Nievelis González, Paulina Araujo, Roberto Alejandro and Rodrigo Mata, the new members are:

  • Mauricio Islas, a Mexican actor with a solid career in telenovelas, film, and theater. Known for his versatility and charisma, he has starred in successful productions like Señora Acero and Top Chef VIP, proving he can compete both on and off the set.
  • Julieta Grajales, a Mexican actress known for her work in television, film, and theater. She has appeared in productions such as La Jefa, Los 50, El Chema, and El Señor de los Cielos. Beyond her acting career, she has ventured into painting, standing out for her talent and artistic dedication.
  • José María Galeano, a Spanish actor based in Mexico, known for his roles in La Jefa, La Doña, Luis Miguel: La Serie, and Top Chef VIP. His elegance, international experience, and strategic mindset make him an inspiring competitor.
  • Jason Romo, a young Mexican actor who has stood out in series like El Señor de los Cielos and El Conde: Amor y Honor. A fitness influencer and cooking enthusiast, he showed his more personal side on Top Chef VIP. He comes with high energy, discipline, and a desire to win.
  • Zoraida Gómez, a Mexican actress known for her talent, charisma, and versatility. She has excelled in theater and television, appearing in successful telenovelas and reality-style competitions.

La Isla: Desafío Extremo is an adrenaline-filled adventure where contestants face physical and mental survival challenges in wild and remote locations across the Caribbean, from pristine beaches to dense tropical forests and scorching deserts. Divided into teams, they will battle week after week to survive in conditions ranging from total luxury to extreme hardship. Only the strongest will reach the final phase, where they will compete as individuals for the grand prize at stake.
