MIAMI – September 15, 2025 – Telemundo unveils the first group of personalities joining the new season of La Isla: Desafío Extremo, premiering Tuesday, October 7 at 7pm/6c. Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Christian de la Campa, Helen Ochoa, Gary Centeno, and Ximena Herrera embark on this unprecedented adventure where fame is left behind, and survival is everything. Amid exotic jungles and Caribbean coastlines, only one will endure and take home the $200,000 prize. Hosted by Héctor Suárez Gomís, this new edition is a journey where strategy is just as crucial as physical strength, in a game of alliances among celebrities, reality stars, and contestants from diverse nationalities and backgrounds, where the best ally could become the worst enemy.
The first celebrities joining La Isla: Desafío Extremo are:
- Elizabeth Gutiérrez – Mexican American star of telenovelas and series, known for her dual role in El Rostro de Analía and, most recently, for her appearance in Telemundo’s primetime series, Velvet: El Nuevo Imperio, among others.
- Christian de la Campa – Known for his participation in the first season of Telemundo’s hit reality La Casa de los Famosos and the network’s primetime series, Vuelve a Mí, he has also captivated audiences in other productions such as Tierra de Reyes and Santa Diabla.
- Helen Ochoa – This powerful vocalist blends musical talent with a magnetic stage presence and had a standout performance on Telemundo’s Top Chef VIP, where she won the hearts of viewers across the nation.
- Gary Centeno – Costa Rican actor who was part of the third season of Telemundo’s cooking competition, Top Chef VIP, he has also impressed fans with dynamic roles in series such as La Jefa and Marea Alta.
- Ximena Herrera – Acclaimed for her captivating performances in El Señor de los Cielos and Buscando a Frida, this renowned actress brings powerful presence to every character she has portrayed throughout her artistic career.

La Isla: Desafío Extremo is an adrenaline-filled adventure where contestants face physical and mental survival challenges in wild and remote beach and forest locations across the Caribbean.
Divided into teams, the 18 contestants battle week after week to survive in conditions ranging from total luxury to extreme hardship. Only the strongest will reach the final phase, where they will compete as individuals for the grand prize at stake.
