Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Rauw Alejandro, Karol G, Tito Double P And Peso Pluma Dominate The Finalists For The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards On Telemundo

Miami, FL, September 10, 2025 – Telemundo and Billboard today announced the finalists for the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny leads with 27 entries, setting a historic record for the prestigious awards. He is followed by Regional Mexican Group Fuerza Regida with 15 mentions, and Puerto Rican icon Rauw Alejandro with 14. Colombian superstar Karol G leads the female artists with 10 mentions, matching those of rising Regional Mexican sensation Tito Double P with 10, while his cousin Peso Pluma received nine mentions.

The longest-running and most prestigious Latin music awards show, produced byTelemundo and MBS Special Events,will broadcast live on Telemundo Thursday, October 23 at 8pm/7c from the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. The show will also stream on the Telemundo App, Peacock and air throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional, reaching millions of Spanish-speaking viewers across 22+ countries. Finalists and eventual winners of the Billboard Latin Music Awards are determined exclusively by their performance on Billboard’s weekly charts, making them the truest reflection of an artist’s impact and success. This year, awards will be presented in 49 categories, spanning the leading genres of Latin music including Latin Pop, Tropical, Latin Rhythm and Regional Mexican. In addition, Billboard will recognize select artists with prestigious special awards, to be announced soon.

Bad Bunny dominated the finalist list with 27 mentions, competing in top categories such as Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, among others. Additionally, three of his hits, “Baile Inolvidable,” “DTMF” and “Nuevayol,” each earned five mentions, including Hot Latin Song of the Year, Sales Song of the Year and Streaming Song of the Year.

California-based Regional Mexican powerhouse, Fuerza Regida, follows with 15 mentions, including Artist of the Year, Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Top Regional Mexican Album of the Year for 111XPANTIA. Their hit “Tu Boda” with Óscar Maydon, scored four mentions, among them Hot Latin Song of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event and Regional Mexican Song of the Year.Two more tracks, “Me Jalo”with Grupo Frontera and “Por esos Ojos”, are also finalists for Regional Mexican Song of the Year.

Rauw Alejandro, one of today’s most influential Latin artists, is up for 14 awards, including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year, for Cosa Nuestra. His viral single “Khe,” with Romeo Santos is up for three awards: Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event; Latin Airplay Song of the Year and Latin Rhythm Song of the Year.

Global superstar Karol G stands out among female artists with 10 mentions. Her viral hit “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” earned five, while she is also a finalist for Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female and Top Latin Rhythm Album of the Year, for Tropicoqueta.

Newcomer Tito Double P also earned 10 mentions, including Artist of the Year, Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for Incómodo, which also competes for Top Regional Mexican Album of the Year. His collaboration with cousin Peso Pluma on “Dos Días” is a finalist for Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event and Regional Mexican Song of the Year. Peso Pluma, with nine mentions, is up for Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male and multiple album categories for Exodo.

Other artists with multiple mentions include: Netón Vega (8), Grupo Frontera (7), Shakira (6), Óscar Maydon and Romeo Santos (5), Clave Especial and Kapo (4), Aventura, Danny Ocean, and Julión Alvarez y Su Norteño Banda (3). Additional finalists with two mentions include Benny Blanco, Cazzu, Floy Mennor, Ivan Cornejo, Junior H, Kali Uchis, Manuel Turizo, Natti Natasha, Prince Royce, Roberto “La Paciencia”, Selena Gómez, The Marías and Xavi. In total, more than 70 artists were recognized this year, underscoring the unprecedented global impact of Latin music.
