Telemundo Adds Tigres and Juárez Men’s and Women’s Home Matches to Complement Network’s Chivas de Guadalajara Coverage
Apertura 2025 Coverage Kicks Off with Juárez vs. América on Friday, July 11 at 11 p.m. ET on Universo
MIAMI, Fla. – July 9, 2025 – Telemundo announces the expansion of its Fútbol Estelar Liga MX coverage for the Apertura 2025 tournament with the addition of Tigres and Juárez men’s and women’s home matches, joining Chivas de Guadalajara in the network’s robust lineup. Coverage will span across Telemundo, Universo and Peacock, including the network’s signature pre- and post-game program, Fútbol Estelar Liga MX Extra.
Apertura 2025 programming kicks off with the highly anticipated matchup between Juárez and América on Friday, July 11. Coverage begins with an in-depth pregame show at 10:30 p.m. ET, followed by the live match at 11 p.m. ET on Universo.
Play-by-play coverage will be led by José Luis López Salido, with expert analysis from Jorge Calvo. The Emmy Award-winning Miguel Gurwitz and sports host Adriana Monsalve will anchor the Fútbol Estelar Liga MX Extra pre- and post-game shows.
For English-language coverage, Telemundo continues to offer select Chivas matches on Peacock, featuring commentary from Carlos Yustis and Juan Arango, also simulcast on SiriusXM NBC Sports Audio Channel 211.
Expanding digital access, Telemundo will provide exclusive live coverage of Tigres Femenil, Juárez Femenil, Chivas Femenil and Chivas youth team matches via its digital platforms.
Launching in August 2025, the new 24/7 Sports FAST channel Telemundo Deportes Ahora will deliver over 50 hours of LIVE Spanish-language sports content each week—including original programming and a robust slate of live sporting events—created specifically for today’s digital audiences, complementing and enhancing existing properties. For Liga MX, Telemundo Deportes Ahora will debut Fútbol MX: a must-watch show for fans of Mexican soccer, featuring exclusive highlights from Chivas, Tigres, Juárez, and other Liga MX teams, plus expert analysis, the best goals and plays of each week, controversial moments, interviews and press conferences, team transfers, and comprehensive coverage of Mexico’s National Teams — Men’s, Women’s, and youth categories.
Fans can also enjoy highlights and exclusive player interviews on El Pelotazo, Telemundo’s dynamic and fast-paced late-night sports show hosted by Verónica Rodríguez, Diego Arrioja, and Pablo Mariño, airing nightly at midnight.
