MIAMI, FLA. – April 30, 2025 – Telemundo, the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA through 2026, announces coverage plans and full match schedule for the FIFA Beach Soccer Seychelles 2025™ kicking off Thursday, May 1 at 6:30 a.m. ET with a dedicated pregame show and all the matches airing LIVE on Universo.
The 13th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup kicks off on May 1 in Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, located on Mahé Island, with the final set for May 11. Known for its fast pace, high scores, and action-packed gameplay, the tournament features a group stage followed by knockout rounds, all unfolding over 11 days in an Indian Ocean archipelago that provides a picturesque setting. Powerhouses like Brazil, Portugal, El Salvador, and Italy return, joined by debutants Chile, Guatemala, Mauritania, and host nation Seychelles, which is making its first appearance in a FIFA global event.
Telemundo’s commentary team will feature a roster of seven seasoned commentators, including former U.S. Beach Soccer national team player Oscar Gil. The hosts and commentary team will come together ahead of each match for the tournament’s dedicated pregame show Copa Mundial de Beach Soccer De La FIFA: Extra to analyze and debate the most important and exciting storylines of the event focusing on the Hispanic teams and players.
Throughout the tournament, Telemundo’s daily late-night sports show El Pelotazo will recap all the action featuring player interviews and match highlights at midnight.
