MIAMI – March 27, 2025 – Noticias Telemundo AHORA, the network’s 24/7 streaming news channel, will debut AHORA: Planeta Tierra, a new weekly program focused on environmental and climate news hosted by Emmy award-winning anchor Vanessa Hauc on Saturdays at 11:00 am ET.

The only environmental news program in Spanish on streaming in the U.S., Planeta Tierra features in-depth coverage and analysis, investigative reports and on-the-ground reporting from cities across the United States and the Americas. It will include newsmaker interviews and thought-provoking conversations with innovators spearheading creative solutions to address the impact of today’s changing climate.

The weekly program will also feature regular contributions from Chief Meteorologist Carlos Robles and special reports from Telemundo local stations.

The show is an outgrowth of Planeta Tierra, Noticias Telemundo’s environment and climate reporting unit led by Hauc. The unit regularly produces multiplatform segments about climate, sustainability and environmental issues, positioning Noticias Telemundo as a leader in Spanish-language news in the United States covering climate.

Hauc has reported on the environment for more than 15 years. She joined Noticias Telemundo in 2002 and has served as an anchor since 2020. In 2022, she was awarded an Emmy in the Outstanding Journalist in Spanish Language Media category.

Manuela Guardia will serve as the senior news producer for Planeta Tierra.

Planeta Tierra expands the original news programming available on Noticias Telemundo AHORA, which launched last year and is widely distributed across streaming platforms including Roku, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, and Fire TV. Noticias Telemundo AHORA is also available on Peacock, NoticiasTelemundo.com and the Noticias Telemundo app.

The free, ad-supported streaming service offers breaking news and the latest headlines with Noticias Telemundo anchors Julio Vaqueiro, Arantxa Loizaga, Damià Bonmatí, Claudia de la Fuente, Octavio Pulido, Nicole Suarez, Johana Suarez and Hauc.

Encore presentations of Planeta Tierra will stream Sundays at 11:00 a.m. ET. All episodes will be available to watch on demand on Noticias Telemundo’s YouTube channel.

The addition of Planeta Tierra to Noticias Telemundo AHORA programming comes as the network strengthens its position as a preferred news source for Latinos. On linear, Noticias Telemundo was the only broadcast evening newscast with year-over-year growth in 2024 among all viewers, according to Nielsen data. On social media platforms, Noticias Telemundo is the #1 most viewed Spanish-language broadcast news account on YouTube, the most followed Spanish-language news account on TikTok and the most followed broadcast news account in Spanish on Instagram.
