In “Velvet El Nuevo Imperio,” she steps into the shoes of the riveting antagonist Cristina Otegui, a woman who conceals her capricious and manipulative nature behind a sweet smile. She is obsessed with Alberto and will stop at nothing to capture his attention.

Together, González, Miranda and Siqueiros form a dynamic trio that will bring this timeless story to life with a perfect blend of passion, high-fashion and drama.

“We are thrilled to bring a fresh look to this classic story as we officially kick off production on ‘Velvet El Nuevo Imperio,’” said Javier Pons, Executive Vice President at Telemundo Studios. “With Yon, Carolina and Samantha at the helm, this modern take is sure to captivate viewers, reinforcing Telemundo’s commitment to high-quality and relevant storytelling for Latinos in the U.S.”

Likewise, the incomparable and celebrated actress Itatí Cantoral will grace the screen in a special appearance as “Isabel Juárez,” a kindhearted woman marked by betrayal and an all-consuming love—yet she refuses to let hatred define her.
