All Three Noticias Telemundo Daily Weekday Newscasts Outperformed Univision in Leading Demo
MIAMI – January 24, 2025 – Noticias Telemundo ranked as the #1 evening newscast on Spanish-language television the week of January 13, 2025 among adults 18-49 (397,000). Anchored by Julio Vaqueiro, the network’s newscast outperformed “Noticiero Univision” for the first time during an entire week, registering a double-digit audience advantage (+14%), according to Nielsen Panel data.
In addition, for the first time, Telemundo’s three daily weekday newscasts – which include Noticias Telemundo Mediodía airing at 12:30 PM ET and Noticias Telemundo en la Noche airing at 11:35 PM ET – finished the week as the #1 Spanish-language television news programs in their dayparts, delivering 199,000 and 149,000 adults 18-49, according to Nielsen.
The ratings come as Noticias Telemundo strengthens its position as a preferred news source for Latinos on linear, social media and digital platforms. In 2024, Noticias Telemundo was the only broadcast evening network with year-over-year growth among total viewers (P2+), according to Nielsen data.
On social media platforms, Noticias Telemundo is the #1 most-viewed Spanish-language broadcast news account on YouTube, the most followed Spanish-language news account on TikTok and the most followed broadcast news account in Spanish on Instagram. Launched in May 2024, Noticias Telemundo AHORA streaming channel has quickly become a key growth driver for Telemundo’s FAST channel portfolio.
