WHAT: Telemundo Studios unveiled its 2025 scripted content lineup and development projects at a private dinner during Content Americas, the annual media market serving the Latin American, Spanish language and US Hispanic content community.
Under the theme “Telemundo Studios Reloaded,” the #1 producer of Spanish-language scripted content in the US presented top highlights including upcoming Super Series©, La Jefa, set to premiere February 18; Velvet (WT), its highly anticipated contemporary adaptation of the global hit series; and Dinastía Casillas, a spinoff from the highly successful super series of El Señor del los Cielos, kicking off production this year.
The presentation also included the Studio’s latest OTT offering featuring Colisión for MAX (inspired by the work of Corín Tellado), En el Barro for Netflix (a spinoff of the Studios’ powerhouse Underground Producciones, El Marginal), and Nails for SkyShowtime (from the Creators of Machos Alfa).
WHO: The presentation was led by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises Chairman, Luis Fernández and Executive Vice President of Telemundo Studios, Javier Pons Tubio.
Hosted by Jessica Carillo (Al Rojo Vivo), the event featured a special presentation by one of the stars of Dinastía Casillas, Isabella Castillo (Sed de Venganza).
Others in attendance included top Latin American industry clients; senior NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises executives including Ronald Day, President, Entertainment and Chief Content Officer; as well as the NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution executive team, led by Pierre Weisbein, Senior Vice President, Sales Liaison, Latin America.
