Carlos Adyan, Julia Gama and Andrea Meza Join as Commentators, Bringing All the Excitement of the 73rd Edition of the Pageant from Mexico City
MIAMI – October 29, 2024 – Telemundo is gearing up for a night of glamour and excitement with the 73rd edition of Miss Universe® to be hosted once again by Jacqueline Bracamontes and Danilo Carrera and airing live coast-to-coast from the Mexico City Arena on Saturday, November 16. Carlos Adyan, Julia Gama and Andrea Meza will join as commentators of the prestigious event, bringing viewers all the enthusiasm of this international event that brings women from around the world together to compete for the title and showcase their social missions to a global audience. At the end of the evening, the current queen, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua, will crown her successor.
About the Hosts:
Jacqueline Bracamontes is one of the most prominent personalities in the Hispanic entertainment industry, having hosted major productions for Telemundo including previous editions of Miss Universe®. The multifaceted personality born in Mexico has also hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Latin American Music Awards, Así Se Baila, La Voz, and ¡Viva el Mundial y Más! on Telemundo, and had a notable participation in the network’s series, La Suerte de Loli. Bracamontes has also served as host of productions such as the Latin Grammys, Nuestra Belleza México, and starred in the Netflix movies Un Padre no Tan Padre and its sequel Una Navidad no Tan Padre, among others.
Danilo Carrera, who currently stars in Telemundo’s primetime series Sed de Venganza, is an award-winning actor and TV host born in Ecuador. His acting career began with the Telemundo telenovela Relaciones Peligrosas and the Nickelodeon series Grachi. In his return to the Spanish-language network last year, he served as cohost of Miss Universe®. Carrera has starred in numerous telenovelas such as Sin Rastro de Ti, Hijas de la Luna, Vencer el Miedo, and Amor Invencible. Before acting, he was a professional soccer player in his native Ecuador and a model for prestigious brands.
Carlos Adyan, currently a cohost of Telemundo’s daytime show En Casa con Telemundo and Sunday-evening’s Pica y Se Extiende, is a talented and charismatic TV personality born in Puerto Rico. He has cohosted numerous Telemundo specials including red carpets for the Billboard Latin Music Awards and previous editions of Miss Universe®, among others. Before joining the Hispanic network, he served as cohost of Acceso Total on Miami’s Telemundo 51 station.
Julia Gama is a renowned Brazilian actress, model, and beauty queen who was the first runner-up in the Miss Universe® pageant in 2020. In 2022, she participated in the second season of Telemundo’s hit reality competition, La Casa de los Famosos. Since then, she has been part of several network productions including reality competitions like La Isla Desafío Extremo and the first season of Los 50, among others.
Andrea Meza, cohost of Telemundo daytime shows Hoy Día and En Casa con Telemundo, joined Telemundo as an entertainment correspondent after concluding her reign as the 69th Miss Universe® titleholder. Since then, she has become one of the most beloved personalities on U.S. Hispanic television, collaborating on numerous network specials, including the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in addition to her notable participation in previous Miss Universe® editions.
