Liga MX Apertura 2024 Season Coverage Kicks Off with Chivas vs. Toluca on Saturday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock
MIAMI, Fla. – June 25, 2024 – Telemundo, the home of Chivas de Guadalajara in the U.S., proudly announces its exclusive coverage of all Chivas home matches during the Liga MX Apertura 2024 season. This comprehensive coverage will be available across Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock, featuring a 1-hour pregame show and a 30-minute postgame show for every match on Universo and Peacock.
The excitement kicks off with Chivas’ highly anticipated debut game against Toluca on Saturday, July 6. Coverage begins with an in-depth pregame show at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the live match at 9 p.m. ET, airing simultaneously on Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock.
Leading the live match commentary will be Telemundo Deportes’ sportscaster Jorge Calvo, delivering play-by-play coverage alongside the expert analysis of Chivas de Guadalajara veteran Manuel Sol and referee Jaime Herrera Garduño. The Emmy-award-winning Miguel Gurwitz returns to host the network’s pregame and postgame show, “Futbol Estelar Chivas Extra,” featuring regular segments by “Zona Mixta” cohost, Veronica Rodriguez.
For viewers preferring English-language commentary, Telemundo continues to offer this option on Peacock, led by Carlos Yustis and Juan Arango and accessible on SiriusXM NBC Sports Audio Channel 211 in English.
Beyond the main team, Telemundo will also provide exclusive live coverage of Chivas Femenil and Chivas’ youth teams on its digital platforms.
