Julio Vaqueiro and Arantxa Loizaga to Lead Sunday Primetime Coverage on Telemundo Network Starting at 9 P.M. ET

MIAMI – May 30, 2024 – Noticias Telemundo will offer multiplatform coverage of Mexico’s historic presidential election on Sunday with a team of anchors, correspondents and analysts providing comprehensive reporting and analysis of a vote where Mexico is expected to elect its first woman president.
Special broadcast and streaming coverage will run from 7 p.m. until 3 a.m. and include live updates and reporting from the Noticias Telemundo team on the ground in Mexico. Julio Vaqueiro and Aranxta Loizaga will anchor Noticias Telemundo’s live primetime coverage from the Zocalo, Mexico City’s main square, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
The streaming channel Noticias Telemundo Ahora, anchored by Damià Bonmatí and Claudia de la Fuente, will kick off early evening coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The special program will be available on Noticias Telemundo’s social and digital platforms including NoticiasTelemundo.com, the Noticias Telemundo app, YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok. Vaqueiro and Loizaga will pick up the special coverage at 8 p.m. ET on Noticias Telemundo Ahora and it will later simulcast on the Telemundo network.
NoticiasTelemundo.com will feature a live blog, up-to-the-minute developments, projections and results plus distinctive online reporting. The coverage will also include fact checks by T Verifica, Noticias Telemundo’s fact-checking platform. Viewers and readers can submit fact checks through Noticias Telemundo’s WhatsApp tipline.

NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group will have 23 reporters across Texas, Arizona, Chicago, and California contributing to the special coverage with live commentary and analysis. The Noticias Telemundo California regional streaming news channel will also have extensive coverage on election night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT.
In the run-up to Sunday’s vote, special election coverage, led by Vaqueiro, is being featured on Noticias Telemundo’s daily national newscasts.
