Miami, FL, May 2, 2024 – Telemundo Studios announced today its upcoming original production, Sed de Venganza, set to kick-off production at Telemundo Center’s state-of-the-art studios in Miami this summer. Danilo Carrera (Relaciones Peligrosas) and Isabella Castillo (El Señor de los Cielos, Malverde: El Santo Patrón) are set to lead a star-studded cast for this riveting tale of revenge, love and deception. Sed de Venganza marks the first leading role for both Castillo and Carrera in a Telemundo series.

An unforgettable new drama, Sed de Venganza follows the life of Fernanda Ríos (portrayed by Castillo), a beautiful and sharp woman determined to escape the terrible abuses she’s experienced since childhood. However, her plans go awry when deception and blackmail lead her into the dark world of Eugenio Beltrán. A vengeful and cruel businessman who has sworn revenge on the Del Pino family, it is Fernanda who must execute Eugenio’s nefarious plans. Complicating matters further, she finds love with Francisco (portrayed by Carrera), a figure from her past, whose life she recklessly destroyed. Forced to confront her sins at last, Fernanda dedicates herself to satisfying her growing thirst for revenge as she sets out to redeem herself against extraordinary odds.
Born in Ecuador, Danilo Carrera is an award-winning actor and presenter in television and theater. His acting career began with his first role in the Telemundo telenovela, Relaciones Peligrosas, after which he participated in the Nickelodeon series, Grachi. Most recently, he served as host of Telemundo’s 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards, the 72nd Miss Universe broadcast, and as a guest co-host on the network’s morning show, Hoy Día. Throughout his career, he has starred in multiple telenovelas including Sin Rastro de Ti, Hijas de la Luna, Vencer el Miedo, and Amor Invencible, among others. Prior to acting, Carrera was a professional soccer player in Ecuador and modeled for various international brands.
Isabella Castillo is an award-winning Cuban actress, singer and dancer, known for her recurring role as Diana Ahumada in four seasons of Telemundo’s El Señor de los Cielos. Previously, she also participated in Malverde: El Santo Patron, El Recluso, Tierra de Reyes, El Fantasma de Elena, and Quien es Quien for the network. She initially rose to fame as the lead character in the Nickelodeon teen fantasy television series, Grachi, followed by Vicki RPM, Club 57 and Yo Soy Franky. Castillo most recently forayed into film with the lead in the musical La Usurpadora: The Musical, and her singing credits include the album “Soñar No Cuesta Nada.”
Sed de Venganza is written by Eric Vonn, directed by Camilo Vega and Miguel Varoni, under the executive production of Ximena Cantuarias and Rafael Uriostegui.
