MIAMI, FLA. – February 8, 2024 – Telemundo, the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA through 2026, announces coverage plans and full match schedule for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai™ kicking off Thursday, February 15 at 6 a.m. ET with a dedicated pregame show and matches airing LIVE on Telemundo, Universo and the Telemundo app.
The 15th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is guaranteed to be action-packed as the world’s best teams and players compete for the championship title. Portugal, who earned the title in 2015 and 2019, will take on five-time champions Brazil while Mexico and Oman aim to surprise and make it to the knockout stage.
Telemundo Deportes’ commentary team will feature a roster of seven seasoned commentators, including former U.S. Beach Soccer national team player Oscar Gil. The hosts and commentary team will come together ahead of each match for the tournament’s dedicated pregame show Copa Mundial De Beach Soccer De La FIFA 2024: Extra to analyze and debate the most important and exciting storylines of the event focusing on the Hispanic teams and players.
Throughout the tournament, Telemundo’s leading late-night sports show Zona Mixta will recap all the action featuring player interviews and match highlights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 p.m. ET or after network news.
