Mexico City, Mexico – February 2, 2024 – The celebrated cast of Telemundo’s longest-running series, El Señor de los Cielos, hit the red carpet in Mexico City for the highly-anticipated premiere of the show’s ninth season. Headlined by the Casillas clan – including Mexican superstar Rafael Amaya, Carmen Aub, Ivan Arana and Isabella Castillo– cast members Itatí Cantoral, Robinson Díaz, Jason Romo, Julio Bracho, Carla Carrillo, Karen Sandoval, Denia Agalianu, and others gathered at Casa Abierta Monte de Piedad, to present the first episode of the upcoming season set to premiere Tuesday, February 13 at 10pm/9c.
The night culminated with an engaging panel with the Casillas moderated by Telemundo’s La Mesa Caliente co-host Myrka Dellanos.
In this not-for-faint-of-heart season, fans will witness Aurelio Casillas unleashing the beast within him and reminding everyone of the ruthlessness that made him the infamous “Lord of the Skies.” After the arrest of his son Ismael, Aurelio’s wrath awakens and sets in motion a wave of violence across the country to seek revenge. The notorious drug lord will stop at nothing to reclaim his power and protect those he loves in this gritty new season.
