The Awards Include the Coveted Categories of Outstanding Journalist in Spanish Language Media and Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in Spanish
MIAMI – September 29, 2022 – Noticias Telemundo won two Emmy® Awards during the first night of the 43rd Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards ceremony hosted by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The award ceremony, held Wednesday evening, recognizes outstanding achievement in television journalism.
Noticias Telemundo’s Emmy Award winners include:
· In the new category of Outstanding Journalist in Spanish Language Media: Noticias Telemundo anchor Vanessa Hauc
· Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in Spanish: “Enero 6 – Asalto a la Democracia” which featured live on-the-ground coverage of the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol.
The 43rd Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards honor programming content from more than 2500 submissions that originally premiered in the calendar year 2021, judged by a pool of over 800 peer professionals from across the television and streaming/digital media News & Documentary industry.
