Local News Audience"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>English- and Spanish-language stations rank as the market\u2019s two most-watched stations at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. among Adults 25\u201354<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MIRAMAR, FL \u2013 August 31, 2026 \u2013<\/strong> WTVJ\/NBC6 and WSCV\/Telemundo 51, NBCUniversal Local\u2019s English- and Spanish-language sister stations serving South Florida, delivered a standout performance in the August 2026 ratings period, ranking as the two most-watched stations in the market among Adults 25\u201354 during the 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, NBC6 and Telemundo 51 captured 48% of the local news audience at 6 a.m. and 53% at 6 p.m. among Adults 25\u201354, demonstrating the power of their combined reach across South Florida\u2019s English- and Spanish-speaking audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At both 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Telemundo 51 ranked No. 1 in the market, regardless of language, while NBC6 ranked No. 2 overall and No. 1 among English-language stations. The results underscore the impact of two leading local news brands serving South Florida\u2019s diverse communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 6 p.m. performance is particularly significant, with NBC6 and Telemundo 51 together accounting for more than half of the local news audience during the time period. August marks only the second time since 2020 that the stations have held the market\u2019s No. 1 and No. 2 positions at 6 p.m. They last achieved the distinction in February 2026, during the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
