NEW YORK\u202f\u2013 March\u202f24, 2026\u202f\u2013 <\/strong>Comcast NBCUniversal\u202fand NBCUniversal Local today announced\u202fthe return of the NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants<\/strong> for\u202fthe\u202fninth\u202fconsecutive\u202fyear.\u202fThe 2026 competitive grant challenge\u202fwill award $2.5 million in unrestricted funds to eligible nonprofits\u202flocated\u202fin\u202fand servicing one of the 11\u202fNBC- and Telemundo-owned stations\u2019\u202fmarkets\u202facross the United States\u202fin three categories.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits can\u202fapply for NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants from today, March\u202f24, through April\u202f24\u202fat localimpactgrants.com<\/a>\u202fand the Spanish-language\u202fsite becasdeimpactolocal.com<\/a>,\u202fwhich also provide more information on the program.\u202fThe\u202fgrant categories include youth education and empowerment<\/strong>, next\u202fgeneration\u202fstorytellers<\/strong>, and community engagement<\/strong>.\u202fWinners\u202fwill be announced\u202flater this year.\u202f\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLocal nonprofits perform a critical role in the communities we serve,\u201d said Valari Staab, Chairman of NBCU Local. \u201cWe\u2019re proud that for nine years our annual grant program has recognized impactful local organizations and provided funding to help them fulfill their missions and expand their efforts.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2018, NBCUniversal\u2019s grant program has provided $21\u202fmillion to\u202f615\u202forganizations\u202f–\u202fincluding the\u202f69\u202fnonprofits<\/a>\u202flast year\u202fthat were awarded a combined $2.5 million\u202f–\u202fin the\u202fcommunities\u202fserved by NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations, which are:\u202fNew York, Los Angeles, Chicago,\u202fPhiladelphia,\u202fDallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego\u202fand Hartford, Conn<\/strong>.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
